about Derek

Derek has spent over 26 years in the National and American Hockey League combined working most recently as the Head Equipment Manager for the Philadelphia Flyers for the last 13 years. He has worked 2,046 professional games (not including playoffs) and could tell you a story about each and every one of them. Derek lives and breathes hockey and has now decided to help those who may not have access to a professional service for their hockey needs. He does everything from skate sharpenings and equipment maintenance to having products such as sticks, tape, wax, laces, and much more on hand. Derek is AEMA Certified and the Owner of Settlemyre Skate Sharpening.
